Crisis!!
We are in dire need of a new shelter in the Westfield/Carmel area.
Ideally, 1700 sq ft or better with low rental fees. Our current shelter is too small and starting to fall apart due to age. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Meet “Keystone” Keystone is FIV positive (Feline Aids) which is only contagious to other cats, not dogs or people. He requires no special diet, meds, etc. He does require a good home, maybe a few toys and a place to sleep. And most of all TLC. Keystone is adorable, friendly, loving, playful and will most likely live a long normal life. He does need to be the only cat or with another FIV feline companion. He will bring a lot of joy to anyone wanting a sweet cat!
Call Peggy at 340-7947 and set up an appointment to meet him. He will be the love of your life!!
We have never tried adopting out a group of 3 together – but if there are any cats that need to stay together then this family of three is the one.
Kovu - Buff – has a motor that constantly runs
Extremely sweet and loving
Enjoys being held
A very happy go-lucky boy
Shenzi – Calico – very sweet – also purrs a lot
Enjoys being held
Very happy
We believe she is Kovu’s sister
Simba – orange/white – a little timid
Purrs when held
He and Shenzi play a lot together
We believe he is younger but has the same mother as Shenzi and Kovu
Here is their story:
A few months ago a farmer pulled up at our shelter. In the back of his truck were 5 kittens in a wire cage. It was evident that probably none of them would survive. Kovu, Shenzi and Simba did survive, but only by the grace of God. You could feel every bone in their extremely emaciated bodies. They were past the stage of eating on their own. They were lethargic and disoriented. So started the 24 hour a day process of giving IV fluids, forced feedings, vitamins, antibiotics, etc. Each time we had a glimmer of hope a set back would occur. We decided they needed a “spark” that would give them the will to live. So we played music, held them tight and danced around the shelter with them. They soon started coming to the front of the cage when we turned the music on – waiting for the dance! When they started to eat on their own we provided a daily buffet of food to eat. It turns out their favorite is canned tuna in vegetable oil.
Today they are sweet, lovable and healthy kittens. They have been through so much we would love to see them stay together.
It is very hard to let this little family go. Everyone at the shelter invested so much time, energy and prayers in them – which led to everyone falling in love with them.
Needed - The best cat lover home in the world!
